Privacy Policy

Last updated: 28 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information MenuBooklet collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to menubooklet.com and the MenuBooklet service.

1. Who we are

MenuBooklet ("we", "us") provides digital menu and ordering software for restaurants. If you have any question about this policy, contact us at support@menubooklet.com.

2. Information we collect

  • Account data — name, email address, and password (stored only as a secure hash) when you create an account.
  • Restaurant content — the menus, item descriptions, photos, branches, prices, and settings you add to your account.
  • Billing data — plan and subscription details. Card payments are processed by our payment providers; we do not store full card numbers.
  • Usage & device data — log data, IP address, browser type, and pages viewed, used to run, secure, and improve the service.
  • Diner data — when a guest views a menu or places an order, limited information (such as the details they enter for an order) is processed on the restaurant's behalf.

3. How we use information

  • To provide, maintain, and secure the service and your account.
  • To process subscriptions, trials, and payments.
  • To send transactional email (verification, password resets, receipts, important notices).
  • To respond to support requests.
  • To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or technical issues.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

4. Service providers

We share data only with providers that help us run the service, under agreements that require them to protect it — for example hosting and database infrastructure, our email delivery provider, image storage/CDN, and payment processors. We do not sell your personal data.

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to run core features. See our Cookie Policy for details.

6. Data retention

We keep account and restaurant data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we delete or anonymise your data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain records to meet legal, accounting, or security obligations.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures — encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access controls, and tenant isolation — to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work hard to safeguard your information.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact support@menubooklet.com.

9. International transfers

Our providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

10. Children

The service is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 16.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date.
